The Coach House – Terms & Conditions/Tariff

All bookings accepted by the owners, Mr & Mrs R. C. Farndale, are subject to these terms and conditions which are deemed to have been accepted in full by the Hirer and all persons in the party. Payment of deposit, or hire charge also indicates the hirers acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons, as stated in the details , occupy the accommodation, including sleeping overnight..

The Hirer signing the Booking form agrees to accept legal  responsibility on behalf of members of his , or her party, and agrees to ensure that they are aware of the Conditions of Hire and that they meet their obligations arising from them in every way. The Hirer accepts legal liability for any acts or defaults of members of his/her party as if their acts were his/ her own.

The Hirer failing at any time before, or during the hire period to meet his/her obligations as set out above and elsewhere in this document shall deemed to have cancelled his/her contract with the owner who may seek to repossess the property forthwith.

BOOKING PROCEDURE

When a booking is made more than 56 days prior to the arrival date, a deposit of two thirds of the total hire charge (to the nearest pound upward) together with a completed Booking form, or written confirmation  giving the names of each member of the party, the age of minors, (minimum age 14 years) as well as arrival and departure dates, is required to confirm the reservation. Up to that time it is a provisional booking; and provisional bookings are held for a maximum of 7 days. Upon payment of the deposit and subject to the acceptance by the owners of the booking the Hirer becomes liable for the balance of the hire charge for the full period of hire.

It is the term of the contract that the balance of the hire charge is due for payment 56 days before the Hirer’s arrival. Non payment of the balance by the due date shall be deemed to be a cancellation and the deposit forfeited. The Hirer may be liable for the total rent and for any other costs required to re-let the accommodation. If successfully re-let credit will be given subject to the re-letting costs and a £100 cancellation fee.

When a booking is made less then 28 days prior to arrival date the full hire charge is required to confirm the reservation; until payment the booking shall remain provisional.

CANCELLATION

The Hirer remains liable for the full balance of the hire charge. However every effort will be made to re-let the accommodation. and if successful a refund will be made accordingly: 

a) When notification is more than 56 days prior to arrival,and subject to the accommodation being re-let, the deposit will be refunded less £100 cancellation fee (as to waiver – see below)

b) When notice is within 56 days the full booking fee is forfeit to the Owner. Any refund is subject to the accommodation being re-let less costs whereof and £100 cancellation charge. If re-let the cancellation may be waived in appropriate circumstances at the sole discretion of the Owner.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

You are requested to arrive no earlier than 4.00pm and no later than 6.00pm and depart at 10.00am.

DAMAGES/BREAKAGES

The Hirer and members of the party are asked to leave the accommodation clean and tidy. The Owners reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition. The Hirer undertakes to report all breakages, or damage as soon as reasonably possible so that it can be replaced, or repaired for the convenience of the Hirer, or subsequent holiday maker.

The Owner requests that furniture is not moved, or re-arranged so that unnecessary damage does not occur. The Hirer undertakes to keep the property and all the furniture, fittings and effects in, or at the property in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the hire period, (reasonable wear and tear excepted) and is responsible for the cost of making good any damage which has occurred due to negligence or irresponsible behaviour.

LIABILITIES

The owners, Mr & Mrs R. C. Farndale, shall be under no liability to any person, or member of a holiday booking for any personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal effects howsoever arising at the accommodation. Nor can the owners be held responsible for any circumstances beyond their control including, but not limited to, mechanical breakdown, failure of any public service supply, or illness.

PETS

Owing to one of your hosts severe allergic reaction to cats and dogs we regret accommodating them presents a problem.

SMOKING

Smoking is NOT allowed inside the property.

RIGHTS OF ACCESS

The Owner reserves the right to decline accommodation. The Owner has right of access to the property at all reasonable times with or without workman for the purposes of inspection, or to carry out repair deemed necessary to the property, or equipment.

DESCRIPTIONS

The Owner gives all information and makes all statements in good faith and checks so far as is reasonable all the information given to applicants. The Owner shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from information given, or statements made whether orally, or in writing.

SECURITY OF TENURE

The Hirer agrees that as the property is used for short term hire as holiday accommodation it is exempt from security of tenure under the Rent Acts.

TARIFF

Rate from £600 based on 4 night stay – £1050 for 7 night stay

Bank Holidays, Easter, Christmas and New Year prices on application

N . B. All prices are in pounds sterling and are for the whole cottage.
